The work has been done by a group of scientists led by scientists from the Salk Institute and the University of Southern California (USC), and it shows that signaling by the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), a transmembrane protein present in the brain, is necessary for nicotine’s neural and behavioral effects. The effect is not due to a direct excitation of neurons, but instead is the result of activation of neighboring cell signaling pathways. The researchers published their findings in the journal Nature.

The nicotine molecule (left) is small and bulky, and binds to nAChRs in the brain. A compound called “JHU741” (

In order to add an element to the list, an application must meet the following requirements:
1. Be released under an Open Source license
2. Be considered “Portable”, that is able to run from external storage media
3. Be distributed with a PortableBuilder “green ready” version of its packaging.

As soon as a developer adds a new PortableBuilder feature, he will get automatic notification by email.

Note that any size reduction of the resulting software image is fine. (A smaller package means less room for bugs and a quicker upload time to the “build farm”)

What is a PortableBuilder Package?
A PortableBuilder is a feature of Portable Packages that is usually offered in the following two flavors:

The package is ready to run (installer installer)

It is not distributed as an installer and users will have to manually download and install this package

Some developers offer even the.zip version of their application without the “green ready” version of its packaging…
But this means you are downloading what we call a “gray ready” version.

The result of the following image reduction for the same software (Mozilla Firefox) is:

Original: 148 KB (188KB)

Binary Packager: 65 KB (78KB)

Distributor: 34 KB (36KB)

Zip Package Compressor: – (40B)

Compressed Package: 3KB (3.7KB)

Of course, you are welcome to take a look at the software, thanks to PortableBuilder!
If you do want to get the “green ready” version of your software, you may do so at the price of 15EUR/US$15 (25EUR/US$25 if you want to include the “buy me a coffee” option).Q:

rails how to make finder method in one variable?

I have a method which retrieves emails from a database. It looks like this.
all_emails = Email.where(user_id: current_user.id)

Some users have hundreds of emails, so I was wondering if there is a way to put that finder method

What’s New in the?

X-Firefox is a portable version of the Firefox web browser. X-Firefox is offered by winPenPack, a free and open-source project aimed at allowing users to save and install Firefox into a more portable form so that they can run it directly from an external device (like a USB memory stick, pen drive, DVD, etc.), or simply run it on their own portable devices.

Firefox with nice animations like open and new tabs, the bar at the top, the back/forward buttons and the search box. I downloaded the program with the latest version 3.5.6, and it works great.
Firefox with the snap to the top button, which is where I have it in Windows 7.
Firefox with the toolbar buttons at the bottom and the address bar to the right. I found this, is there a way to get it? I see it on Linux, but not on Windows.

So is X-Firefox still in development? Are there plans to add other features? I understand it is a beta version but I was wondering what about it’s future? Is anyone still working on it or do any of the other open-source programs have it’s market share now? (Remember MySpace)

I have used X-Firefox since version 3.2.1 on Windows XP SP2 and later. It was wonderful to have Firefox in my USB pen drive and being able to use it anywhere. Unfortunately, I no longer run Windows XP and X-Firefox is not available on any of the operating systems which I use.

I have never encountered problems with it. Even in Windows 7 beta, it works well. I thought that it was a great idea and would like to see this program to be available on any operating system. I found other programs that are good, but this one seems to be missing. X-Firefox is included on Linux and in Mac OS X.

The current beta version of X-Firefox can be easily installed on Windows XP SP3 and all the major Linux distributions (including Ubuntu, Gentoo, Debian, Redhat, Mandrake and Fedora). It uses the XFCE desktop environment.
